At 19 his plans to join the army were foiled by an arrest. By 21 he moved from his hometown of Opelika, AL to Charleston SC. On the coast, Slay worked as a waiter and pesticide salesman [dustyslay.com] for over a decade while moonlighting as an obscure, often drunk, open-mic comedian. It wasn’t until he quit drinking in 2012 that he started to take comedy and his unique talent for telling jokes seriously. His smooth baritone voice and relatable stories about growing up poor in a trailer park quickly made him a local Charleston favorite. After being voted Best Local Comedian and winning the Charleston Stand Up Comedy Competition both two years in a row, his well-intentioned friends and colleagues encouraged Slay to move to LA and take a shot at the big time. While this may have been sound advice for the average aspiring artist, Dusty wanted to try to make it in comedy on his own terms: by living in the South, without getting too far away from the home that grounded him.Today, Slay has close to half a million TikTok followers, Four Late Night appearances, a Comedy Central set, and a Netflix Half Hour Special under his belt. He enjoys selling out comedy clubs across America on weekends, then chills out at home in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife Hannah and daughter Daisy. He’s even a regular at the legendary Grand Ole Opry, sharing the stage with the musicians he grew up loving.

His voice inflection and passion keep people in the room not knowing what absurd humor is going to come out of his mouth.Whether it's well-crafted and precise jokes or completely improvised streams of consciousness, Daryl makes friends and fans out of all audiences.Ages 21+Adult subject matterWildcat Brothers Distilling is Cajun-country’s first distiller of crafted rum, perfecting the distilling traditions of spirit-making the way our ancestors did. Located in fertile Lafayette, Louisiana, we use only local sugarcane to produce smooth and unique French-style rums from the same sugarcane cultivated by our forefathers. All of our rums are produced by hand in small batches with no importation of foreign molasses or sugarcane byproducts. We source from Louisiana farmers and American craftspeople. We work hard and celebrate harder, again, much like our ancestors did. While our fans keep returning for our innovative flavorings and wood-aging processes, our goal is to refashion the way adults appreciate rum, agriculture, and craft distilling. The story of Wildcat Brothers Distilling may be the most unorthodox tale this side of the Bayou. Set in fertile South Louisiana (“Cajun Country” as we like to call it), our story features two unlikely heroes: a former lawyer and Ph.D. behavioral scientist. Together, they embarked on a journey to help their fellow Acadians celebrate the joie de vivre with the very best French style rum. The result was Acadiana’s first distillery. Merging old-world recipes and modern techniques, our flavors harken back to the way the original Acadians would have crafted rum – with their own hands and local ingredients.Gator Cove - Lafayette, Louisiana2601 SE Evangeline ThruwayLafayette, LA 70508(337) 703-3410 - Tasting Room Direct Line
